Communal Water Wells

"When we wanted that water well made into a heritage site we were told it couldn’t be done because there is no land description for something on a road allowance. I thought it was a silly reason but nevertheless it’s not a heritage site. I have been in eastern Canada – where the town well was placed at an intersection."
